Over the course of several months, I met with Monika once a week either in person or online. During first meeting I had with her I was already captivated into learning more about myself and my career as an artist. Although I did not go to art school, I still have a yearning and need to learn about the world I work in. We set a goal, which in my case was to apply to various residencies by the end of our classes. 

 Throughout this time, we built a framework of smaller goals and assignments which were completed for the following week in order to reach our final vision. By studying my own work and those of others, she helped me to start dissecting my own language in my art. Using her knowledge in the academic and practical side, Monika helped me in multiple facets of both my artistic and personal life. 

Throughout the process I learned more than I thought I ever would, and before I knew it the goal we had set was completed. I would recommend Monika Bravo’s course to anyone who wants to explore themselves through their art, and is willing to dig a little deeper.
